Program goals:
- To reinforce and encourage reading as a foundation for all learning and promote the joy of reading for all children ages 0 -12.
- To encourage daily reading with a parent.
- To connect the home, school, and church as providers for children to explore exciting children’s literature.
Child and parent partnership
- Parents or guardians must monitor students reading daily.
- Parents or guardians are required to assist children with completing and signing their reading logs weekly.
- We encourage a minimum of 15 minutes of daily reading, however more is accepted.
- Reading logs are turned in at the end of each month. They may be turned in at Zion’s Zone or at all three Church offices.
- Children reading the most monthly will be recognized quarterly with special incentives.
